Hearts of Men

January 23, 2009

Pencil sketch. Photoshop color. 300 dpi. 10.5″ x 14.25″.

A heart devouring Aztec God is resurrected to return the stolen moon to the sky.
It’s a wonderful brew of spaghetti western and Aztec mythology.

  2. Simply beautiful.

Also, I’ve heard ROF is closing its doors — which, if true, is disheartening.

  3. It’s true, Robert. I guess we must be reading the same blogs… Unfortunately, this one didn’t make the cut before they shut down. I’m very sad about them closing.

  4. I don’t know if you’ve heard, but someone bought Realms and so now our works will be published after all. I’m of course super-pleased that my story will be paired up with your artwork as originally intended. And Doug Cohen is the new art director. He has extensive coverage of the change in ownership over at his blog if you haven’t been over there recently.
